Ohh I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside, Neapolitan Pink
Overview
Playful stripes bring movement into your home. This print updates the classic stripe with its playful hand-drawn lines. Think Neapolitan ice cream meets English deck chair.
There is something about the classic stripe that is warming and comforting but being so perfect and straight is harsh. I have taken the classic stripe and added a playful and handmade twist. Stripes are a great way to create the illusion of space, they can be hung either horizontally or vertically to create a fabulous look and can also help create the illusion of height for rooms with low ceilings.
There’s nothing like an English summer, sitting in a deckchair on pebble beach enjoying an ice cream. If only we could bottle that feeling to keep us going through winter. Now you can! This striped design brings the freedom and freshness of summer to your home, with a wink to Neapolitan ice cream lines and seaside deck chair colors. Choose the color that suits your room and relish the seaside feeling all year long.

Additional Info
All Annika Reed designs begin with a sketchbook and pen. She refines, then hand draws the images onto a piece of Asian wood, where she carves them according to the age-old practices she learned while doing a residency at the University of Shanghai in China, in 2006.
While in China she worked alongside masters in woodblock printing and developed her unique style. Traditional woodcuts are printed from separate blocks, one created for each color. she works differently, carving away each color, one at a time, and uses the same block to print all the layers of her designs. It takes at least a month to complete a full series of carvings and color layers.
