Estella, Nightbloom
Overview
This Estella drawing is a part of a series that recounts Danica's slow-burning passion for Southern California. Nothing compares to the vibrant hues of the California landscape and the way these flowers appear in the evenings, and that is where Estella had its start. Soft pastels of local flowers were used to create these drawings, which combine to form a striking, lively, and repeating design that evokes the feeling of a California summer night.
These drawings were made with soft pastels of all local flora — they come together as a bold, spirited repeating pattern with the emotion of a California summer night.
