Overview
This Petra artwork is a part of a series that recounts Danica's slow-burning passion for Southern California. This drawing started as loose sketches of rock formations in Joshua Tree National Park. Their balance and structure are so peculiar and illogical, and just like challenging architecture, there is nothing more fun to study and draw.
The Onyx and Pearl color palette illustrates the extreme shadows and highlights that make these forms so dynamic.
