Pier
Overview
Each of the sun-bleached boards that make up the jetty that leads out to the Kallbadhuset in Ulricehamn is sponsored by local businesses and individuals. So strong was the desire to have a cold bath house built again. A heritage that goes as far back as 1871. Pier's calm expression can be combined with the more patterned and expressive wallpapers Hares in Hiding and My Peony Garden . The surface of the wallpaper has a textile effect, which gives a more tactile snug feeling.

Additional Info
Ulricehamns Tapetfabrik is a Swedish wallpaper company with roots in a genuine craft tradition. The company is run by enthusiasts with many years of experience in the craft and industry. We are also united in the passion for beautiful designs and the pride of being able to make an impression in Swedish wallpaper history.
In Ulricehamn there has been wallpaper production since the 1850s. For nearly 170 years, contemporary wallpaper art has flowed from our small town by Lake Åsunden in Västergötland. In the spring of 2018, the craft tradition was dying.
Suddenly the rollers for screen printing - and the adhesive printing machines stood still. The unique craftsmanship of the color master and the master printers was no longer put to use and newspaper articles were written about how Sweden had become one less producer. No one expected that production would resume under a different auspices.
Two former employees of Sandberg Wallpaper thought differently. Anna Andén and Thomas Johansson saw the potential in continued production. Together with the entrepreneur Håkan Mattsson, also born in Ulricehamn, and with a desire to do something for his hometown, Ulricehamn's Wallpaper Factory was started.
It didn't take many calls to get the production workforce back in place. Preserving the heritage feels important, but the biggest attraction lies in creating a valuable now – working days that feel meaningful, and a further aspiration that feels sustainable. The term Framtidsfabrik is our own and it says something about the business's desire and direction. We believe that traditional small-scale production can exist and thrive alongside large-scale production.
We want to take care of everyone in the ranks. We value the knowledge of the people connected to our business and want to have fun along the way. The synergy effect in working together is clear, together with designers and retailers we must find new ways to talk about and think about wallpaper.
