Overview
Emperor Damask is an elegant interpretation of a traditional damask motif. Tumbling, scrolling ribbons cascade through space, crossing paths but barely touching. The handsome, bold repeat of the design speaks to the grandeur of a tradition whilst, in ways, subverting it. The minimal, muted use of colour and the mesmeric intricacy of the stripes present the ever-unfurling motif with a pared-down elegance. This modern interpretation of an age-old motif reads as timeless, imbuing a space with an understated sophistication.
