Overview
Birds in Chains is a visual symphony, at once impactful and complex. The luminous majesty of the birds arrests the eye, whilst the intricacy of the ever-unfurling ornamental and botanical design keep the gaze rapt. The vertical, serpentine repeat of twisting vines, palms and chains give a sense of soaring dimension. Electric flashes of color loom out of subdued hues, and the near-neon bright birds seem as though they might lift off the walls and take flight. The column-like repeat of the design adds an architectural dimension, and the exuberance of imagery and colour imbue a space with lyricism and a sense of play.
