Additional Info
In 2019, Julia Kipling, LLC was established when artist, Katherine Stratton Miller, and gallery director, Rowanne McKnight, partnered to create an exclusive line of wallpapers.

Influenced by the beauty in nature and everyday objects, Katherine, a Nashville native began creating art at an early age, even being permitted to draw on her bedroom walls by her art-enthusiast parents. Possessing a zeal for all of the Arts, Katherine’s influences are wide and many, including her love of botanicals stemming from her youth spent on the family farm. “I hope when people view my work, they find joy in the simplicity and subtle nature of each piece. My compositions are meant to bring happiness and a lightness to one’s spirit”.

After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Katherine began a career as a graphic designer and art director in the Nashville music industry. After gathering 10 years worth of experience, Katherine transitioned from the music industry into a freelance graphic design career before ultimately returning to her love of painting. The time spent with her paintbrush paid off. Her whimsical watercolors, painted in sharp composition, quickly became a hit with designers and collectors throughout the country, but predominantly in the South, her home turf.

Rowanne, originally from New Orleans, is a graduate of Vanderbilt University. She spent many years at Warner Bros Records before moving into the digital marketing world. She founded and operated her own jewelry design company, Rowanne Designs for 16 years, as well.

She is now the Director of the Nashville Artist Collective, an innovative online art gallery that represents 15 local contemporary artists. She creates opportunities for exposure and sales for her artists through active online events, local pop-ups, gallery installations, partnerships with national brands. Nashville Artist Collective works with art enthusiasts of all ages, as well as residential and commercial designers.
